OnePlus and Oppo’s R & D division merged, confirmed by Do News-Techweu

Report emerged from DoNews Citing Oppo insiders who claim that Oppo and OnePlus have integrated their R & D departments, he added that new employees joining the new department will be hired by Oppo instead of OnePlus.

The merger reportedly took place in December, but has not been officially stamped until recently. “This is similar to the relationship between Xiaomi and Redmi, who share the same R & D system.” This was quoted by Oppo Insider.

Because both ColorOS and OxygenOS target different markets and audiences, the OnePlus and Oppo software development teams remain separate, despite similar hardware similarities. In addition, both Oppo and OnePlus will continue to operate as separate brands.
