The comprehensive report about the quarter also had other juicy tidbits. Samsung stated that the Galaxy Z Flip foldable and the Galaxy S20 Ultra have seen higher-than-expected sales which has helped the company in the first quarter. 

The company also plans to bring 5G to more affordable phones by the end of this year that should spur the adoption of the new network in the coming months. 

Samsung is looking to overcome the shortcomings of the original Fold this year with a bigger outer display, more durable UTG (ultra-thin glass) glass, better cameras, and more. 

From everything we know right now, a launch in August seems to be likely.
