Apple has released watchOS 8.4 with security updates and fixes for a bug that prevented some Watch Series models from charging.
This update is available for Watch Series 3 and above, and you can download it through the Apple Watch app on your iPhone by navigating to general > Software update menu.
Note that your Apple Watch needs to be at least 50% charged to install the update, and it should be on the charger while still within range of the connected iPhone.
